The Warm Homes project provides insulation retrofits for low income residents who own their own homes. If you are eligible, the insulation can be installed for as little as $300

Eligibility requirements:

The home must have been built before 1978.
The home owner must hold (or be eligible for) a Community Services Card.
The home must be located between Porirua and Pukerua Bay.

The project is supported by: EECA, Hutt Mana Charitable Trust, Porirua Health Plus and Porirua City Council.

Even if you do not have a Community Services Card you could still be eligible for a subsidy of up to 50% of the standard commercial rate.
Priority is given to residents with health concerns that would be alleviated by living in a warmer, drier home.

The Healthy Homes Project provides insulation for low income residents who own their own homes and are located in Wellington City or any of it's suburbs (including Johnsonville, Newlands & Tawa).
If you are eligible the insulation can be installed for as little as $300.

The project is supported by: Wellington City Council, Capital PHO & South East and City PHO, Capital and Coast District Health Board, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA), Ministry of Social Development and Trust House Charitable Trust.

This project enables landlords to obtain subsidised insulation for rental properties located in the Wellington Region.
We may be able to subsidise the insulation by up to 50% of the commercial standard rate.
Eligibility requirements:

The rental property must be located in the Wellington Region.
The property must have been built before 1978.
The tenant must hold (or be eligible for) a Community Services Card. Priority will be given to tenants having a health condition that would be alleviated by living in a warmer drier home. |

Draught excluders are fixed to the bottom of exterior doors. Brush seals are installed on the interior side of the door and rubber seals on the outside to prevent rain & draft.
