Dont Waste it! Porirua

On average, Porirua households throw out 4.6kgs of rubbish every week. Most of that rubbish could be composted or recycled but instead it's shoved into council rubbish bags and buried at the Spicer Landfill.

Kicking off in May this year, a series of free, practical workshops will help Porirua residents cut down on their household rubbish, save money and reduce their impact on the local environment.

The Don't Waste It, Porirua! workshop series is bought to you by Porirua City Council, Settlement Support and the Sustainability Trust with generous financial support from Mana Community grants.

Check this page reguarly for workshops updates.
