Environment Centre
The Wellington Region Environment Centre provides workshops and a central point for community groups to gather sustainability information and resources.
It aims to encourage communities and individuals to empower themselves about a range of sustainability issues.
Specific activities:
› Film nights – bringing climate change science to the public, highlighting a range of sustainability issues including the social justice aspect, as well as inspirational stories of how communities are adapting
› Workshops – covering do it your self projects in the garden, home and community that can help you become more sustainable. Hosted at the Ecohouse or in your own community
› Events and groups – a central point to find out about events and groups in your community
