Environment Centre

 

 

The Wellington Region Environment Centre provides workshops and a central point for community groups to gather sustainability information and resources.

 

It aims to encourage communities and individuals to empower themselves about a range of sustainability issues.

 

Specific activities:

 

              Film nights – bringing climate change science to the public, highlighting a range of sustainability issues including the social justice aspect, as well as inspirational stories of how communities are adapting

              Workshops – covering do it your self projects in the garden, home and community that can help you become more sustainable. Hosted at the Ecohouse or in your own community

              Events and groups – a central point to find out about events and groups in your community

 

 

The centre is funded by the Ministry for the Environment and is located at:
